Common questions
- What kinds of assets can I track?
- Anything your company owns. Laptops, phones and monitors, but equally vehicles, machinery, tools, furniture and software licences. Each category defines its own fields, so a van and a laptop can be tracked properly in the same system.
- Do I need to buy a barcode scanner?
- No. Every phone camera works. We generate printable QR labels you can put on any printer or label sheet. If you already own Code 128 scanners, those work too.
- Can employees who do not log in still be assigned assets?
- Yes. People in the directory are separate from user accounts, so contractors, warehouse staff and anyone without an email address can hold assets and keep a full history.
- How many users are included?
- Unlimited. We charge for the number of assets you track, never per person. Charging per seat would discourage inviting the people whose day-to-day use keeps the data accurate.
- Can I move my data from a spreadsheet?
- Yes, CSV import is built in and free on every plan, including the free one. You can export everything back to CSV or Excel at any time.
- Is my data separated from other companies?
- Yes. Every record carries a workspace id, and Postgres row-level security refuses to return rows outside your workspace even if application code asks for them. It is enforced in two independent layers.
